You can use a digital camera to take pics and upload them, or you can buy a scanner and scan them in. HP has the best stuff around with reasonable prices. www.hp.com

Are you talking about from your camera? Office Jet is a printer, I believe. If you are using the scanner associated with this printer, you'll first have to scan the pictures. Your going to have to find the settings on the scanner software that tells you where it is going to place your photos. Usually it has a default setting but you can change it to whatever place you want to save it. If it opens up your picture in a photo editing program, then just save the file from the file menu. If you have Microsoft Photo Editor, try operating the scanner that way. You can open up the photo editor and hit the scan button. This button will activate your scanner and once the scan is completed, you can then save the photo as anything you want and where ever you want.

I assume you mean pictures you have on you (such as photos, magazine cut outs etc), in which case put the images face down inside your Office jet (the scanner part - usually on top) press the scan button and the process will start. Most probably a program will also be launched on your PC to guide you through

Do you have a digital camera - or are you trying to scan actual photos? If you are trying to scan, best that you follow instructions that came with the HP Jet all-in-one (I'm guessing it's a printer, fax, copier, scanner type thing).
If you have a digital camera - it should have come with a cord that will connect to your camera and then to your computer (most likely through a USB port). Or, you can use a card reader that plugs to your computer and reads directly off your memory card.

1) Place your picture front side down inside the copier.
2) Press SCAN
3) If you have an information window on your all in one, look at it, and scroll down until you come to the "save to file" option, then press OK.
4) A window will pop up on your computer monitor, and you just follow instructions.
If you have any problems, find my email on my Q&A page and drop me a line. I'll try to help you.

You'll need a scanner.
Scan the pic, and send it to your hard drive as a file.
