i have a black windows 98 laptop with no internet and i cant find the place to put the ubs device in. so can you take me to a site were i can buy something so i can use it on my laptop, or can u tell were on my laptop is the slot were i put the ubs drive in, or can i even use a ubs drive on my laptop

First, its USB.
By USB device, are you talking about a USB cable? If so, then there ought to be at least 1 USB slot on the lappy somewhere. If not, then you can always get a PCMCIA USB card....but if the laptop is too old to have a USB slot then its probably not worth hanging onto.
....and USB flash drives aren't compatible with Windows 98 either unless you download a driver from the drive manufacturer (who don't always provide them for win 98)

look in the back if the laptop usually its a rectangular slot. good luck
