Try going to the start menu, locating that printer/scanner program. Sometimes you will get another window pop open and on it, there may be options for that particular item.
Could also try going to "my Computer" on desk top, left click twice, scroll down to printer/scanner, left click twice. Might get some options to use with the device.
Driver should have been installed with the CD that came with the product. Although you may not have used it if you have Win XP because many drivers for several products are already imbedded into it. Good luck.

Usually the software you use usually has a scan button to add photos. If not, there can be a scan button on your printer. The software that came with your printer should have it.

Read the directions. Just hit the scan button and everything should pop up once its scanned
