Mine is made by holding down the function key (second button from the left on the bottom row) and pressing the insert key (second buttom from the right on the top row). I have an HP Pavilion.

To get a print screen, click and hold the shift button and the Print Screen button. Then go to Paint (located under start -> accessories) and hit Ctrl and V at the same time. This will copy the screen shot to Paint, where you can edit the file and print it!

I usually use grab.app or the shortcut keys if for some reason grab.app can't do what I want. â + shift + 3 = whole screen or â + shift + 4 = part of a screen. This is for a Mac, just in case your laptop might be a Mac.
