How long have you had it? Does it really last a long time? Has it given you any problems? Anything you would like to say about it good or bad? On a scale 1 to 10 with 10 being Excellent....what would you rate it?

I have a pc with windows xp.My videocard is NVIDIA FX5500 256 MB DDR AGP.The new one what I wanna put in is ATI RADEON 9800XT 256MB DDR AGP.
My system is INTEL P4 3.0 GHz,120 GB hard drive,1 GB of RAM,450 WATTS power supply
Well,the fact is when I put the new card in,the monitor turns off in less than a minute wether the old cards software uninstalled or not. What do I do? How do I install the new videocard correctly?
My pc and this video card should be compatible with each other.This is the same type of card I have in my pc(AGP,DDR)
What is wrong then? Please some one help!

I have never used any video editing software and was going to start by trying to use windows movie maker. I don't know how to connect the vcr to the pc. Is there a standard usb to av wire connection cable that I need for windows to recognize my vcr or camcorder. It is an analog camcorder. Is it better to buy different software that comes with the physical connection hardware? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm interested in transferring analog video from vcr/camcorder to dvd and also editing (making highlights from transferred video).

what do you use for burn in test ? and for how long do you run it? can you be %100 sure machine is stable if it doesn't crash while a burnittest?

i can right click the drive and eject it, the light flashs for a moment when disc first go's in. Cables are all in and tight, the second drive (DVD rewriter, sony) works fine. could the laser be shot? or am i missing something thats under my nose

How do i format my averatec 3200 laptop if it does not come with cds? (i want to format no clue how to do. Tech support assisted me last time now warranty over and no clue how to do it Please Help
I pressed F8 went to boot and command promt thing and did format C: and it tells me Warning all data will be deleted i say yes i agree and then it says
Format cannon run because the volume is the use by another pricess. Format may run if this volume is dismounted first. ALL OPENED HANDELS TO THIS VOLUME WOULD THEN BE INVALID. Would you like to force a dismount on this volume? (i do yes and just stops again please help..

My computer crashed a while back & i had to get a new modem.

The old computer had a video card for music, a dvd burner & player etc...

Now i can't watch dvd's, burn or even listen to cd's.

When i try it say's something like video card is not compatiable with media or something to that effect.

What is wrong & what should i do???
Did i need to install a new video card with the modem???

I have DSL modem capable of running up to 4 computers thro the ethernet connection..I have a laptop i want to get online with but it has a phone line type adapter not an ethernet, I cant find an adapter..What do I do.?There isnt just a phoneline to ethernet adapter cable?.What is a wireless router? And how will that make my laptop work.and can an idiot like me hook one up? There were 15 routers on walmart.com how do I know what I need...Some advice would really be appreciated..Thanks

I changed the resolution on a screen that is not supported by monitor and so now i cannot see my desktop when the computer boots into my profile (i can see the boot up screen though). So the question is how do i change the resolution of my display when i cannot even see?
For the advanced users, i used Power Strip and probably made some wrong configurations on the frequencies.

I bought a 512sdram pc133 168pin for my computer. After trying numorous attempts to install it, i found that my original 256sdram was pc100 168pin. I am however unable to find any indication on it whether it is ecc or non ecc. I've tried other sites but can't find out what ecc stands for. I'm returning memory to ebuyer and am worried that I may receive yet another incorrect one unless I find the answer.

I was planning on buying an HIS Radeon X1650 Pro PCI-E 512MB GDDR2 video card but I only have 512MB onboard system RAM. (I know they are the same amount but I read a magazine stating "On-board Memory should be a greater amount than Video Memory."

I have an Intel D845GRG motherboard. Old but works fine. It says that it accepts up to PC 2100. Right now I have 512MB of PC 2100, but I really want to add more RAM. If I bought a 1G of PC2700 what would happen? Could I put the 2700 in the 1st slot and the 2100 in the 2nd, thus giving me 1.5G RAM? Would they both have to be PC whatever? Would I have to buy a new motherboard in order to get nifty new RAM?

What should I do?

I did check voltages, and so the 1G stick would be fine there.
