Hi Im selling a 4 year old desktop and I would like to get rid of all my private information. Not to mention the different accounts I have on the computer. It is running windows XP. Does anyone have any suggestions?????

i have a celeron 2 clocked at 950mhz and a p4 clocked at 2.8ghz the celeron 2 is faster when useing the net and playing games.WOW that is a suprise. the p4 is S^%& when playing games or even on the net.they both are useing windows xp and 256mb of ram why is that? the video is onboard on both of them.

My 300gb sata hard drive is showing up as only 136gb!
maybe my mobo cant handle the sata2 drive or am i missing something completely?
Any ideas welcome... dont try telling me i have a virus or spyware just in case any of you "one answer fits all problems" idiots are about.

I was given a compaque pentium 3 computer that gives me the choice to run windows 2000, or windows xp professional when I boot up. If I choose to run windows 2000, it tells me that the system32 files are corrupt, and tells me to start by inserting the system sisk into the cd rom, and choose the repair option(I dont have the disk). If I choose windows xp professional, it prompts me for a password which I do not have. What are my options?

one of my computer's USB port(right one) can recognize my USB but the other one(the one which is on the left side close to another) doesn't recognize my USB.
Is this the port problem?i mean the hardware?
or i must make some changes in re-installing my USB device? (which is a MP3 player).
I tried to reinstall my USB device butthe left port is still not working.

Someone else using my computer accidentally locked the taskbar to the side of the screen. No matter which way I click the mouse or drag, I am not able to move the task bar back to the bottom of the screen. I cannot find any answer in the help section of WIndows. Anyone know how to fix this?

It just stays in the Windows xp loading screen with the progress bar running, but never gets through to show the desktop. I've looked all over the case and it doesn't have any auxiliar restart button. Does anybody know how to stop it, any combination like CTRL+ALT+SUPR that can work?
