The high-gloss screens, now found on most new laptops, aren't ver popular. Many Apple users don't like it.
There is a company that will remove that polarizer and replace it with a traditional matte polarizer. http://www.screentekinc.com .
I happen to like the high-gloss for viewing DVDs and gaming. Otherwise, they can be annoying.

Yes I do. About all they are good for is watching dvd's in a darkened room.

yeah but sometimes its beacuse your eyes are sensitive.
