Computer is running Windows XP The task bar has been moved from the bottom to the side of the screen?

Someone else using my computer accidentally locked the taskbar to the side of the screen. No matter which way I click the mouse or drag, I am not able to move the task bar back to the bottom of the screen. I cannot find any answer in the help section of WIndows. Anyone know how to fix this?

Right click on your task bar and de-select: lock task bar. Then drag the bar back to the bottom (if that's where you want it to be), right click and select: lock task bar (to prevent this from happening again.)

RIght click on the taskbar first and make sure that the taskbar isn't locked. If there is a check next to "lock the task bar" click on that to unlock it. Then you should be able to click on the task bar and drag it back to the bottom. Good luck!

right click on the task bar and choose "lock the taskbar". this should allow you to drag it back to the bottom of the screen. it might take a while.

well first right click on the task bar and uncheck the Lock the Taskbar option and then try double clicking or drag and droping it back to the bottom of the screen.

Right click the taskbar and un-tick "Lock The Taskbar". You should now be able to drag the taskbar anywhere you like.

try this....

right-click the taskbar, you will see that "Lock the taskbar" has a little tick beside it....now, left-click "Lock the taskbar" and the tick will disappear....finally, you can drag the taskbar back to the bottom of the screen....
