It just stays in the Windows xp loading screen with the progress bar running, but never gets through to show the desktop. I've looked all over the case and it doesn't have any auxiliar restart button. Does anybody know how to stop it, any combination like CTRL+ALT+SUPR that can work?

Press the power button for 10 seconds. That will shut it down hard. Then restart. If you have the same problem, trying starting it in safe mode.

Alot of times the problem stems from the start up programs the laptop has to laod or in some cases there was a problem with the start up program altogether and is missing a code line to allow you to complete the start up process, most times as tech can go in on Safe Mode and take out the troubled programs or clear the setup codes.

When your Laptop is about to load the Load up Screen just before that press F8 on your keypad then press the "last good known configuration that worked". It should load, if not SORRY
