In your opinion, what is the best laptop for me?
*I am a college student and we have wireless internet on campus (so I need a wireless internet card)
*I need software that will keep out viruses, spyware, adware, etc. and I would like this software to be included with the laptop.
*I need office software, especially Word and Powerpoint (or something similar)
*I will be multitasking and I need something quick...

What are your suggestions?

Also, I have around $1200 to spend on this laptop. I don't want an Apple product...I wouldn't know how to work it...Thanks!

Can you stack raid 0 arrays - e.g. take 2 raid 0 arrays - perhaps 2 sets of pairs of 120Gb 7200rpm SATA drives and feed them into another raid controller - to effectively create a logical 480Gb 28,800rpm drive ?

If it can be done & provides a useful advantage, what is the limit on how many layers can be stacked ?

Does anyone have any professional research results & data on this ?

is there a program that will give you all graphic card info such as pixel and shader model number and ramdac,core memory and core clock
i would like to know as i have fitted a card and i really want to know its specs,its a old card(ge-force 4mmx 128mb ram)but it plays doom very well compared to the last card i had in the p.c(its only my 2nd machine,i have a x800gto in my main one..pure class)
i have compared it to my previous card(radeon 9250) and it produces better frame rates and clearer graphics

my old eyes have a hard time reading things like the blue print they use for the questions here. A body told me there are covers you can put over the screne that will help.

I have installed a firewire card into my pc. I have used a firewire cable to connect the camcoder but nothing is happening on the screen of the computer. Does anyone know what i should do inorder to play it on the screen of the computer

The image is great when it stays on, but it doesn't do that. Instead, you see the image for a second, and then it shuts off. If I hit the power, it will turn on again, but only for a few seconds, and then shuts off.

If you are a pro, maybe you can tell me what the problem may be.

I have an emachines desktop computer with a belkin wireless g card. My wireless network is being picked up by the card, and when I type in the correct WPA password, it won't connect. My laptop is connected to the network just fine. I've connected to the network with the same deskop and adaptor perfectly in the past, but now that I have cloned and switched the hard drives it won't conncect. NOTE: i HAVE the most up-to-date driver for the card.

At first it said to take the ink cartridge out and check. I did. There was ink inside the printer, so I cleaned that out, loaded the cartridges back in. Lights kept flashing, so I put new cartridges in------same thing. Now I got it to where it will print, but to print anything it takes about 20 minutes! Did I do something wrong? Also, previously I printed copies off the computer that said not to make copies. Could that have messed my machine up? What a dork I am.
