my hardrive appears to be corrupted is there anyway i can get the data off it, please help

Try running Spinrite at deepest analysys level. It will take few hours to complete. Thats the only thing you can try, short of sending the drive to a lab (which will cost you a lot of money)

You'd need to give more information although ... It's often a case of changing for a new hard drive. It's easy done too!
