In your opinion, what is the best laptop for me?
*I am a college student and we have wireless internet on campus (so I need a wireless internet card)
*I need software that will keep out viruses, spyware, adware, etc. and I would like this software to be included with the laptop.
*I need office software, especially Word and Powerpoint (or something similar)
*I will be multitasking and I need something quick...

What are your suggestions?

Also, I have around $1200 to spend on this laptop. I don't want an Apple product...I wouldn't know how to work it...Thanks!

Double check with your college, they may have discounts with vendors. Barring that check Dell, HP or CompUSA and find the best deal. Any laptops available today will meet your needs, price will be the differentiator.

that's easy...

u've got all u want in these brands...

1. HP
2. Dell
3. Toshiba (the best)
4. Sony "Vaio"

u could visit the main websites of those... go 2 the laptop (or notebooks) section... & build up ur prefered device with the specified features that' u've given (& more)...

then... either order it online... or print out a copy & go 2 the nearest dealer u know, & show him & let him help u choose out!

good luck with your quest! :)

Look for Toshiba and ask them for a free software of Lotus suite latest version, which comprise all your need as a student or a researcher or you can buy a lotus software separately and install on your machine.
