The image is great when it stays on, but it doesn't do that. Instead, you see the image for a second, and then it shuts off. If I hit the power, it will turn on again, but only for a few seconds, and then shuts off.

If you are a pro, maybe you can tell me what the problem may be.

I have tried it on 2 different computers. I have unplugged the VGA cord, and only left power on and I have tried 2 power cords. When I unplug the VGA plug, the logo for the monitor comes on and then it goes off again, like it has been doing, but the light begins blinking. I am just at a loss as to the cause. Maybe it's an inside problem? Would anyone know what component could be broken?

I am afraid I am no help to you but my dell 17" LCD started doing the exact same thing. I tried another computer and then ended up having to use my old monitor.

On for three second then off, as often as you press power on it does it over and over.

I took the monitor apart down to the circuitboards and found nothing obvious. Please email me the fix if you find one.

Aside from the possibility that the monitor or video card is bad, you might try this:
1. Right click anywhere on your desktop.
2. Left click on Properties
3. Left click on the tab that says "Screen Saver"
4. Look toward the lower half of that window that says Monitor Power and left click on the tab that says "Power".
5. Change the settings so that they all say
"Never", then left click on "Appy", and then "OK".
If the monitor stays on after you've rebooted, then you've fixed the problem. If not, try another monitor with your computer to see if the monitor works...if it does, you may have some problems with the monitor that blinks off rapidly. If the second monitor also blinks off, then it is probably a video card problem. Good luck.

I don't know anything about your LCD monitor. I do want to comment on your answer you left for me. I think it was cool and funny. Not like some of the other people that can be cold, trying to score useless points. You are a special person. :-) Thanks.
