I just bought a 5.1 speaker system and i cant get the rears to work...I bought a 5 channel sound card...i set my system to 5.1 surround...Ive got windows xp....Im lost!!!

when i insert a disk to play it reads it for like 2 seconds but doesnt play its supposse to lpay in drive E on my computer and I did a test on drive e and it says it functioning properly but no matter what kinda of disk i put in it doesnt play

I live in the USA and have a need to buy computer equipment for my families business in the Philippines. It is too expensive to buy here and ship, since the shipping costs are so high.

I can send them the money, and have them purchase, but being a tech, I really like to choose the items I'm going to try to support remotely.

Hi i have a HP pavilion zd8000 and my laptob keeps on shuting down when i am running something.it is usually when i am using the internet but thats not why.when it shut downs i cant turn it on but when i take out the battery and unpluge the adaptor and put the battery in it starts.i have done a system recovery cause they said it was a problem with my windows but it wasn't.i am using windows xp home edition.i have 512 MB ram and 100GB hard drive.i also have windows live one care for secuirity and virus.my computer also heats up and the fans (4 fans) are always on and make much noise and i don't know why but they turn on from when i start the computer.PLEASE HELP ???WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN ???

i see plenty of internal hard drives that are either sata or ultra ata - but i do not see any internal hard drives that are utilizing firewire... there are plenty of external firewire hard drives, but none that are internal from what i can determine... i have a four-port pci firewire card with one internal firewire port - but i cannot seem to locate any internal hard drives that utilize firewire... seems like an incredible shame...

several boot (maybe about 5 times ) or after a few days it gets corrupted again.. i scanned my hard disk for bad sectors, it did'nt have bad sectors... i really don't know what to do now.. what seems to be the problem?

Note: No internet connection yet so viruses are out of the question. (fresh installation)

My computer is running really slow and there are some errors on some files. I was trying to run Scan Disk and I got a message saying "Scan Disk has started 10 times, do you want to continue?" I tried to continue but it wouldn't run. The blue line that shows it is checking files would not even run all the way. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thank you for your help.

As I said, I can't make the cd/dvd burner on my computer work. I've tried different brands of cds and no luck. I know it's the drive. Is there a place where I can maybe re-download the drive? All help is appreciated! Thanks!

The windows 2000 starts to load then reboots. Starts to load then reboots. I cannot reformat in the dell because the computer will not load from the CD drive. Tried changing bios and everything. Any suggestions on why it is doing this?

Other hard drive was bad, thats why I switched. Dell XPS D266.....

Ok I have a Sony Vaio computer, I must when it come to other things it's pretty fast when doing other applications, but when It comes to burning or editing anything with Media or Dvds it freezes or takes a long time. I just bearly Installed my Dvd burner and a 250 memory card, hoping I would get some great results, but no it's pretty slow when burning, so far Ive only burn 2 movies at 2 hrs at a time for a 90 minute movie... here are the specs/features Please help me
