My DVD burner can't read DVD disc,but reading CD and burning CD are ok. How can handle it??Do you have any economic solution? thank you for your help.

I have a new M/board, cpu and DDR 1GB ram (upgraded my computer) but have a fine running 512MB SD ram that i want to still use. is there an adaptor plug to work SD ram in a DDR ram slot? Or should i just place the SD ram in the bin?

Have had problems with BSODs on my brand new Acer Aspire5670 laptop. After reinstalling Windows Home Edition OS & Acer settings from a DVD backup and installing another XP Pro OS in drive d:, I have lost the Alt F10 function to start the PQService recovery. Any owners of Acer's laptop have similar hassle are welcome to suggest fix.

Recovering from a DVD backup always proceed to reformat the drive c:

Turns out my BSODs was caused by 1 faulty 526mb ram stick in a 1GB memory configuration.

whats all that rumbling and so forth when you are running a program..whats actually moving..drives me crazy..i will not be using the comp at all..then my screen saver comes on and i have to constantly hear that other noise esp . on like a slideshow screensaver..

I now know how to assemble my own computers, and I also know how to set up a small network, about 10 computers.

I also know how to use Ghost to copy Windows to all the computers in the network at one go.

I also know how to program and use the router, through not completely and mostly only Cisco routers.

Are all these of any use and what good will these do for me? What can I use them for? Any suggestions?

Also you can get the white 2.0 GHZ with a 80 GB HD and 1 gb of ram it's still cheaper than the black 2.0 GHZ with 80 GB HD and 512 MB of ram so go for that.

i have been trying to install windows xp on to a partition on a hard drive ,but the first drive(c:)is fat32 and when i use fdisk to try and delete it it says "cannot delete logical drive while extended drive exists"so when i try to delete the "extended drive"it says "cannot delete extended drive while logical drive exists"
i try to boot from cd (by changing boot order in bios)ti install xp but it wont start,i think thats due to the (c:) drive being a fat32 partition,but as i cannot delete it,im stumped
i cant use computer management as the drive was dual boot(win98(c)win xp(d)) and i cant boot into xp on that drive
is there 3rd party software which you can download which will partition drives ,and you can make on to a floppy(like a 98 start up disk),its only a spare machine so theres no rush but i would like to solve this as its bugging me
