it is asking to select quick erase option and then it is initialising.After that it is not responding.

If it is not initialising your floppy, then it has nothing to do with formatting it because your floppy seems to be corrupted.
The only hope left is to defrag your floppy. It might bring it back.

Your floppy disk may be bad. Did you try with any other Floppy Disk.

If this problem persists for all the floppy disks, then your floppy disk drive is gone wrong. Get it checked with a hardware person.

it is either your floppy disks that are bad or your Floppy drive or just might have a bad connection check connections try again if still doing it find a different floppy

go into my computer and right click 3.5" floppy go down list until format
