most laptops have a numerica pad but it's often mixed with the regular keyboard so it's not that convenient.
Some laptops like the dell xps M2010 or the gatway M685E have the numeric pad but they are large and bulky.
a easier option is to buy an external usb numeric pad for exmaple the targus: Targus PAKP004U USB Numeric Keypad with 2-port Hub
at amazon for 16.99: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000A15ZEU

To add to Alexes answer. When using the alpha keys on a laptop with the 10 key built in, you will be off center. I install Road Runner for TWC on other peoples computers and this drives me crazy, even when just working on a machine for a few minuets, even on desktops that don’t have space on the desk to center the keyboard. Plus on desktops, it moves the mouse too far away and tempts us to type with one hand. Just another argument for the external 10 key.

Not entirely a lappy, but is as portable as one and folds up to the size of one. Don't be too hasty in writing it off as not suitable!
Definately worth a look at..
[EDIT] Has standard numeric keypad as per 103 keyborad

Anymore most of the larger (17" and larger screens) laptops have them. I have a Segar with a 19" screen and it has an almost full keyboard on it.

an external solution is 20-25$ tops so buy a laptop that's really good and worry about it later

i'm fairly sure that most laptops have a keypad built in, don't they? if not, you can but an exteranal one and plug it in via a USB port. i've seen those before... probally wouldn't be too expensive.

I have used a external numpad wireless that works great, it comes with the mouse and share the same receiver.
