sure, search ebay for an "external dvd drive" or pick one up from best buy for around $40

once youve received it here is the easiest way to put dvds onto your ipod:

step 1.
go to this web address (do not include the spaces):
www .xilisoft. com /downloads /x-dvd-to-ipod-converter .exe
and download the xilisoft software.

step 2.
install it on your computer.

step 3.
unlock the program by opening it, going to the help tab and entering the following registration code (do not include the spaces):
F71DC344F73424E44D8538B9- 56E7 -92E2- 5D6D

(I have to put spaces in the links and registration code because yahoo will block this type of info otherwise)

step 4.
insert the dvd into your computer (you must have a dvd-rom drive on your computer to put it dvds on your ipod)

step5.
on the xilisoft application, select profile and select the appropriate ipod.

step 6.
click on the dvd button on the xilisoft screen and select your dvd drive as the source.

step 7.
select the destination by picking which folder you would like to save the video to.

step 8.
once all the information has been gathered from your dvd, click the red record button to start ripping the dvd. this will take several hours because it must also convert the files to mpeg4 format.

step 9.
once the dvd has been ripped, open the folder you set as the destination and select the files you wish to put onto your ipod, you may want to preview these files first by playing them with quicktime.

step 10.
drag and drop the selected video files into your itunes library or use itunes to add the files to your library.

step 11.
plug your ipod into your computer and put the videos onto your ipod!

good luck!

External DVD drives and burners are available at any electronics store for anywhere from $50 to 200 depending on the features you want.
You should be aware, though, that they are much slower when connected through USB than an internal IDE connected drive would be. If you're going to be using the DVD drive frequently, I would recommend adding an internal one if you have the room in your computer and someone to install it for you.

the best thing to do is contact a computer store or seller of software, the DVD drive is usually installed into your computer much like the CD drive, in fact you can have both DVD and CD drive in your computer, a good one is liteon and they cost about $80.00 (aus) most times if you purchase your DVD from a store they will fit it for you for a small fee or sometimes even fit it for you for free. It takes about an hour to install

Yes, you can buy an external DVD drive. Here's one for $133 (but you can do better) on Amazon.

You can buy an external driver, but I think an internal one would be cheaper, you can easily install it on you mother board, or ask an specialist to do it for you.
