i am already having a 512MB DDR ram in system which is a AMD Athlon 1.20 GHz and i am also having a 256MB ram with me. so can i put in it my system as there is one space free for ram. and will it affect the mother board or not.

My one year old son was banging the keyboard on my laptop and broke the 's' key, causing it to completely come off.

When I use a pen (or the like) to press the space where it was, it works, but I would prefer to have it back the way it was. I still have the 's' key of course

By the way, I have no warranty . Any suggestions out there?

Ok, Have a system with SATA hard drive and I am trying to install an IDE drive on the system. Only have one IDE port and currently have 2 CD/DVD drives using that. So I bought a SATA 2 IDE Adaptor (Siig's version). My motherboard (P5GPL) has 4 SATA slots, with 2 labeled Master and 2 Slave. I'm unsure which slot I should be plugging the drive into. I would think the slave next to the master that has my SATA drive on it? Anytime I try that my system can't find the SATA drive to boot. Any other place, the system boots, but windows XP doesn't see the drive, nor the bios.

Don't know what else to put here? Any help would be appreciated. I feel like I'm going through trial and error and someone must know enough to point me in the right direction.

I have my extra hard drive hooked up as a slave on the same IDE cable as my cd/dvd rom.Is that the way it goes or do i have to put my extra hdd as master and my cd rom as slave? help please.
