The Macintosh is great once you get the hang of it. There is a definite difference between interfaces. I find the Mac interface more tangible and the PC interface more abstract. One thing that is different is that there is no "start menu" - the Mac equivalent is a bar with icons that is usually at the bottom of the screen [operating system 10 and higher (OSX)] and a menu bar at the top of the screen. Also, if you are used to using key commands you will have to switch from CTRL to the Apple key.

Mac was not compatible to Google talk the last time I used one (about 8 months back or so) - I am not sure whether that has been resolved.

Also, new ideas are often tried out first on Windows PC - the developers get a Mac version out much later. So if you want to be one of those who has 'been there, done that' you should stick to PC.

I personally love Mac's user friendly programs, easy to hook-up and cool looking designs - am a big Apple fan! Though I use both (an Apple notebook and a Windows desktop PC).

Getting used to things working by themselves, very easy to adapt to. Note: the 'disappearing taskbar' can be turned off in Mac, just like it can be turned on in Windows XP. Do it, you won't be sorry. I Love Macs, they are easy to use, nice looking and well-built. Mac OS is much easier to use for most, once you get used to it.

The one button mouse kinda sucks, also they have the hidden taskbar thing that pops up on you whenever you get near the bottom, it took me like a week to figure out that thing was there. Macs take time to learn to use..
