I say that because I have done it, it just happens to happen, when the stupid a** PS3 feels like it. So my question is how do I fix this once and for all, to where its easy. I have Microsoft media player 11. I go to share media and the PS3 doesnt show up in the "share with" box. Can you tell me how I can get my computer to recognize the damn PS3?

I've had this problem ever since I got my wireless router.

I emailed belkin a 1000 times, and attempted to call them but it's ahrd for me to understand the thick indian accents.

Anyways I dunno if I would call this a drop or not, seeing as I am still online when it happens.

It's most noticable on messengers and on online games.

Messengers, at random times messages i send wont sent without warning, and messages ppl send me dont send.

For games, at random times the game will act like users arent doing anything to it, on my end at least.

I went to comp room and connected the cable from the cable modem directly to my laptop and the problem went away. The thing is I need it to be wirelss for my laptop in my bedroom and my wii in my bedroom.

BY any chance does anyone here know how I can fix this?

Belkin support are... like, uneducated monkeys im guessing. In one of my 1000 emails i sent them i gave a list of things i did to try and solve the problem and their advice was to do one of the things i told them i already did.

anyways thanks

Ok, Im trying to fix a linxsys wireless router and its not working. The person I'm trying to fix it for had a blackout and it stoped working. They have a desktop which is phyically hooked up and a laptop. When I plug the computer directly into the modem it works, when I hook up the router I can access the linksys but not the internet, I backed up the configuration settings and tried a hard reset. All firewalls are off. HELP!!!

I want to just unplug the thing, but I have no idea what that would do. You see, I'm trying to connect using a Wi-Fi USB connector for my DS, but the router is interfering. I was looking for a way to turn it off for a bit, so I can go on wifi, but I don't want to change the settings, or reset it by accident.

I work as an IT admin in a small company.

We recently moved many of our XP machines from an NT4.0 domain to a Windows 2003 domain(DomainA). The problem is that now when you click Entire Network none of the computers in the network show up. We didn't have this problem when all computers were part of the NT4.0 domain. The NT server is still running, but it hosts a different domain (DomainB)

I've examined the packets going across the wire, and the computers are broadcasting NetBIOS names, DNS & DHCP is configured on the 2003 Domain Controller. I'm running out of ideas. Can anyone help me?

I want to use my own ASP.NET webserver via my PC's
hard drive. I want someone to tell me the URL (not the
SDK) of where and how I can download and install
on my PC, so can you provide me with the URL?
When I had NT it was free, ever since using
Vista on my new laptop and now got rid
of NT, I can't use it anymore. Is there a
free add-on available for Vista? I
want to host a website and
server on my IP address,
I was currently using
WAMP until it froze
my hardware and
became a bug,
it never ever
worked.
Please,
help!

current topology:
modem->router->switch
I need more ports, so do I just tag another switch onto the switch, or go in parallel with the router?
Goal: max speed transfer.
The switches are gigabit, the router is megabit.

I have a 5100b speedstream modem only (no routers). When I do a power reset, I turn off my on/off switch to my modem. It keeps lights on while in the off position. I unplug the modem power cable to get the modem to shut down. and wait a minute or 2 then shut PC down. wait a couple of minutes and plug modem back in (remeber on off switch is off) the lights start doing its thing for a few seconds then the modem shuts down till I turn the power back on. Is this a bad modem? f so what would I have to do to change to a speedstrem 5100. I have 1 that is brand new. Do I have to unstall and reinstall my DSL? Thank you all in advance. Ken

If the image quality is poor while transmitting video over the Internet using video enabled programs such as MSN Messenger, Yahoo! or AOL Instant Messenger, your connection speed to the Internet directly affects the image quality of the transmitted video. Corporate LAN, DSL/cable modem connections will result in the best image quality experience, while dial-up connections may result in choppy and overall poor quality because of the slower connection speed. Even broadband connections such as DSL/cable modem may experience choppy video at times because of Internet traffic or slow upload speeds. If the image appears clearly in the camera software, most likely your Internet connection may be responsible for the poor image quality in your video program.

I'll try and keep this simple......I have 2 computers, they are connected using a crossover cable, Comp2 goes through Comp1 for internet. Comp1 can access files on Comp2. Comp2 use to be able to access files on Comp1 but no longer can because all of the icons under "My Network Places" have gone missing. When I click to View the workgroup computers, the only thing I see is Comp2. Even on Comp1 all I see is Comp2. Shouldnt I be able to see Comp1 under Comp1's workgroup??? I dont understand how Comp2 can still have an internet connection if it doesnt even show Comp1 being in its workgroup. When I try to add Comp1 in "Add Network Places" it always says invalid. Any ideas???
