xbox 360 via ethernet--->wireless router---->dsl modem

and I want to connect my computer to the wireless router via wireless usb adapter.

Info you may need to know to help me:
1. I'm using Windows XP pro
2. Netgear DG834 router connected to two other computers to Share ADSL broadband

When I go to "my network places" its show up my netgear DG834 router but when I click on it it takes me to a login page BUT I never recall creating in a username or password so I cannot sign in.

So the question is:
Is there anyway to hack or crack me own router so I can find the username and password?

Please help, thanks

My Linksys USB wireless adapter was working fine on my Windows 2000 machine. Suddenly I'm not receiving a wireless signal. The adapter works fine on another machine and other machines are able to connect to the router wirelessly.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for the adapter twice and this didn't solve anything.

I've tried repairing the connection and that failed.

I've gone into device manager and it says that this device is working correctly.

I've unplugged the modem and router and left them off for an hour and then reconnected.

I've plugged the USB wireless receiver into a different USB port and still end up with the same problem.

Have rebooted more times than I can count.

Any other ideas on things to try?

Thanks,

Gary

I have a Bluetooth® Home Stereo Adapter DC800 (functioning as a bluetooth receiver) plugged into my stereo Line In, and a bluetooth dongle plugged into my USB port. These two seem to be connecting just fine. How can I get my music players (Media Player, iTunes, etc.) to play through the USB port, and thus through my stereo? I am running Windows XP SP2 on a desktop if that helps. Thanks in advance.

Would Running a Fiber Optic Cable for a network connection between two seperate buildings less then or equal to 100 Meters be more benificial then Using a UTP Network cable? This includes cost and overall effectiveness.

Also pros and cons of each type of cable would also be benificial.

I have an internet connection on my pc, and I want to share it to another computer. Can I just connect a network or LAN cable between the two computers? Will this work to share the internet? Or do I need a switch/router/hub for the connection to go through?

My landlord has allowed me to access his mac wireless network. My pc picked up his system, which is "open" and "wep", but it looks like it needs a network key.
He does not know where to find this information, where can I tell him to look (layman's terms please) and where do I put it on mine.

I have an older smc router and I noticed the internet is slow and my ping times are horrible. I recently bought a netgear to get the wireless working for Nintendo wii and I noticed my ping times went way down and the internet was super fast. Unfortunately I had to return it because it wouldn’t work with wii, anyhow I got a linksys and now its back to the slow speeds. Is it just coincidence or should I go with netgear?
