I want to have it reach my house to my garage. This is a problem mainly for the reason of brick walls and so on. It is about 300 feet radius maybe more though. So get a new router or a booster?

Just run some CAT5 out to the garage and save yourself a big headache. 802.11 is not the best protocol and especially with it using the unlicensed 2.4GHz band.

If you want to focus the signal you can use tin foil, a tube, and a wire extension for the antenna. You can focus them a great distance with old potato chip tube so you can point the signal.

If you want to increase its range all over the place, over the 300 feet range, you need a signal booster for your antenna check out some electronics, computer shops.

Some newer Routers have booster built in and the 801.11b and g.

Directional antennae...

Signal repeaters at intervals throughout your range...

Scrap the router idea entirely and use an aircard, instead.

It might be easier to help if you explained what you want to do...

In general, to "massively" increase the range will require you to "massively" increase the radiated power, from both router and the remote computers (remember, it's a 2-way signal...) - and that will take you outside the terms of the operating license for your router.
After that, you're looking at some very heavy-duty commercial equipment, costly licensing, and quite a lot of work

simple:

i believe u already have one wireless router. therefore, all u need is to get a COMPATIBLE range expander or signal repeater to do the job!

By compatible, meaning is the best to get the same brand of repeater or expander with ur router to minimise any incompatablility issues...

I saw a booster advertised. I think it was through Radio Shack. I'm a little doubtful, but you could check it out. I have no personal knowledge other than that.

What's your definition of massive?

You can try Wireless-N.
