Is there anyway to "boost" the antenna strength for my wireless card. The guy I was piggybacking off of moved. I have found other signals, but they are too weak to access the internet.

...and how do I change to A or B using the belkin pci card. And get off my butt about piggybacking, Im poor.

No, not with like software. Lots of factors effect signal though, you may find a different part of the house picks up better. Also, wireless card adapters tend to be stronger than the USB variety.

You are trying to boost the wrong 'side' of the wireless. You could presumably construct an antennae to hook up to your wireless card, but then.....

Go and pay for a wireless connection and stop 'pirating' the signal.

You do know it's illegal, don't you??

If you use a PCI wireless card (used in desktop computers), you can replace your antenna with a stonger one.

Yup. It's immoral to piggy back without permission, but you can buy high gain antennas.

Change to a lower speed (a or b, not g)...the lower the speed, the farther it can travel.
