No. They will not interfere.

On the Modem connect the non-wireless capable PC to the Ethernet/USB cord, and Then run another Ethernet/USB cord from the Modem to the Router.

I assume you have a wireless router...depending on how busy your network is going to be, what security softwares will be running, it may or may not be noticeable.

Theoretically, if you have one or two wired computers, and a wireless laptop, you shouldn't notice any difference in the speed when your surfing and doing "normal" downloading. But if you start downloading really big files, that's really going to affect your network.

if you do experience some slowness for particular applications, like chatting and using your webcam, or online gaming - you may need to open port applications.

If you don't have a router, and you've done ICS, then it definitely affects the connections.

Maybe on some systems you might have complications always that maybe. But I am running my computer (desktop) directly to dsl modem and have a laptop hooked up to the wireless router, well actually desktop is connected directly to that. But no problems but yes it does lower download speed.

If you have one wireless router and use it as wired and wireless then no. They don't interfer with each other. 1 is LAN the other is Wireless.. Protocols are different.
