Router is WRT54G. Web site is 198.168...etc that is the standard for the linksys router. I understand why its in chinese but wonder if there's a way to see it in English. Translate page doesn't work

I have just purchased a Belkin Wireless G Router for my computer, and a USB Adapter for my laptop. It is set up correctly on both systems, and it says an excellent connection is coming though, yet when I try and access the internet on my laptop, it says "You are not authorized to view this page" and I also cannot share files between computers.

Setting up the router, I had to give a password for internet access and file accessing. Do I have to input this to access the internet, and if so, where?

Both computers are Windows XP.

Please help, as I've spent close to £100 on buying these, and I don't want to waste it.

I have a cable modem with ethernet output. I was looking to hook it up with an existing DSL Wirelss router i have. so that i could use my laptop anywhere in my house. Is there a possibility ? I have already tried by connecting ethernet output of cable modem with the ethernet port of the DSL wireless router. THe internet connection is via the cable modem.

Two WinXP share an internet connection via a Linksys WRT54GL router, yet I can not set up a network workgroup. When I view the entire network, I see the MSHOME workgroup I tried to set up using the network setup wizard. When I try to access, I receive the following error:

"Mshome is not accessible. You might not have permission to use the network resource. Contact the administrator of the server to find out if you have access permissions.

The list of servers for this workgroup is currently not available."

What am I doing wrong?

I went onto device manager on my WIRELESS pc and noticed there was a yellow exclamation mark next to "PC Simple Communications controller", so i went onto properties of that and pressed reinstall drivers. The pc automaticaly installed "conexant d850 56k v.9x dfvc modem". So i ran a search on yahoo and found that to be something to do with faxing? But i dont even have a fax machine in my house and my modem is BELKIN, not whatever "conexant d850 56k v.9x dfvc modem", so have i done something wrong?What is all of this about as i dont even have a fax machine??

When I turn on my laptop the internet tries to automatically connect. It says waiting for network, then acquiring network address, then it stops and lists "limited or no connectivity". I don't know what else to do, I've tried clicking the repair for the ip address for it to renew, it still does not work.

I have a Motorola Router and Adapter that's connected via USB to my PC. It was working fine until my PC froze up and I had to do a complete erase/restore. After re-installing the adapter, it works but loses connection every 10min. Anyone know why?

A friend and I work on computers as a hobby and it’s a hassle and expensive to keep burning cds with the stuff we need. We want to be able to log into the server download and upload files we need. Is there a set of software I can use to build a file server accessible from remote locations? If possible I would like something web browser friendly and not a hassle to setup and maintain. Windows based server is preferred but not essential.

i am an anti virus admin(trainee), i find in some machines that are not getting updated, when i check the services they all are running but why the updates stopped. we r using mcafee software (client) and epo ( agent) . i am not able to understand why the update has stopped even all the systems in network . Before it worked ( i mean a pc) fine now it stopped on middle. it is creating a big problem to me. please help me ...........
