Ok, heres the deal.

I reformated my computer a while back and have been working off of an external wireless card for the past few monthes. Our wireless router died and I apparently never reinstalled my NIC card drivers that are within my tower. I have looked all throughout my system discs but I could have missed something. If anyone knows where I can download the drivers off of the internet or a different solution it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

I already seen the basic setup, there are 3 wires I am going to use, can someone tell me what I am going to use these for in a computer to computer setup. This is for school, I know we have to use a red, green, and blue wire. Connected through a hub, what do I have to connect the 3 wires to and why?

I have a wireless router upstairs, and my XBox 360 downstairs. The 360 doesn't have wireless capabilities, but has a wired network port. I would like to put a "hub like" box that takes the wireless signal and allows wired connections. What is the name of the device I'm looking for?

I have had a router installed for over two years and my two computers that are wireless work fine. The computer that is directly connected to the router will not enable me to connect to the internet. My internet service provider indicated it was due to my IP address. I've powered down my modem multiple times and still no luck. Also, the IP address starts with 169.254 which my internet provider says is the problem. FInally, I connected this computer directly to the modem and it still did not work, leading me to believe this is an IP address issue. Any suggestions?

I am sharing a second hard drive with others on my WiFi network. This is primarily because it's easier to maintain PCs when files are stored on a central hard-drive.
I would like to know how to assign usernames and passwords to folders on this drive?
Secondly, is it possible to create a 'public' folder (ie one that everyone can access without usernames/passwords)?
