I already seen the basic setup, there are 3 wires I am going to use, can someone tell me what I am going to use these for in a computer to computer setup. This is for school, I know we have to use a red, green, and blue wire. Connected through a hub, what do I have to connect the 3 wires to and why?

you have to use 2 pairs :- 1) green and 2) orange
RJ-45 configuartion
one-end of RJ45 and other end is also same of straight cable.
1.orange-white
2.orange
3.green-white
4.blue
5.blue-white
6.green
7.browan-white
8.brown
you can simple connect straight cables(patch cords) from hub to all computers lan card. link will be up and you can setup ip addressing and share your data.
