right click on the folder that contains the files you want to share, select sharing, click share this folder.
Now go to the other computer that is on the same network and double click on the network icon on the desktop, select computers near me, the folder should be somewhere in there,
alternatively, click start, Run and enter
\\computer name\shared folder name
eg \\laptop\shares
this will open the shared folder on the remote computer, you can map a drive to this folder for regular use .

Try telling each computer that they can share files . Start/My Computer/files shared. This is the simplest way.
The Adobe ACrobat is the most widely used, since it handles different file types, including databases, Microsoft Word, engineering drawings etc.
As for security, go to Symantec.com The have some help section there, and very good software as well.
The security settings of your two computers may need to be redone if your files are confidential.
Another way to do this is to set up one of the computers as a server and the other one as a client. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/p2p.shtml

you can share it with ease. first you have to put the required folder in C: drive of the person you wish to share. secondly you should know the computer name provided by the person. when you are logged in your pc, press start and run, followed by two backslash (\\) and the name of the pc you wish to share the file. press enter you will be able to share the folder of other pc. I hope this will work for you. Please do let me know.
