should I check? The wireless connection is there, and the computer's connected- It's just that the browser won't send or receive any data on that computer. I can connect from other computers (obviously since I'm sending this). What can I do?

Thank you to all answerers/ tech savvy people who could make my day!

Why is this happnening? I cannot connect to any websites. I am configuring a new server. I have connected the cable modem straight into the server, bypassing a router. This is really aggravating!

(very sorry for my previous post --- it's multiple IP's that i wanted to say not multiple ISP's)
My ISP provided me 2 IPs. Extern/real ip and local one.
What i want to know is that if it's possible to put 2 ips on a single network card in this way :
-When using extern connection -- use extern/real ip
-When using local network connection -- use the local one
At least that's the way they told me it should work . It's a small ISP and the guys are quite new in this stuff and they couldn't handle my configuration.
I've tryied the Alternate ips stuff on the network config but i couldn't reach the desired result.(my extern ip isn't the one that it should be-and a few network failures).Sugestions ? ... beside changing my ISP...

I'm using a Trendnet wireless adapter and a US Robotics wireless router. The lease is set to never expire, but if I leave the computer alone for only 10 minutes, it expires and reverts to a default address.

So far, I've read "poor" reviews from PC Magazine, TechWeb, PC World and PriceGrabber. I read a few good user reviews at a few sites (here on Yahoo! Shopping and I can't recall where else.). I read a "good' (editor's) review on CNet, but the reviewer still said the wireless speed was mediocre (even more so for a Draft N router).

I bought this router in desperation. My old (formally) reliable D-Link Ethernet router suddenly died so I raced out to get a new one.

I was impressed by this Linksys based on the hype on the package and what I'd read in ads previously. I'm planning to get a laptop in the next 12 months, so the wireless will then be handy (I have no use for it now).

As 95% of the routers at this store (Circuit City) carried were Wireless, I figured I might as well go for the best. Now I'm afraid I paid twice as much as I needed to at this point in time.

Has *anyone* had at least "good" experience with the wireless capabilities of this router?

I doubt there is but I'm really curious..

Geek Squad came in a while ago and set up our wi-fi. It has a password... we just bought a MacBook and it keeps asking for the password for geek_0331, our network. Geek Squad did not leave us the password and there's no way for us to access internet on our new computer.

So basically, I have 2 questions:
1. On Mac Setup, if I press 'I will not use internet', can I still set up a network afterwards?
2. Is there any way to find the password on our other connected computers?
