I'm shocked at how expensive people think dialup is, as I remember seeing lots of small providers offering dialup for $5/mo. Still, I must say that DSL is far superior. Cable is equally good, but it can be a bit pricy. I don't know what your question is, so I can't say more than that. Good luck!

If you want answers you will need to provide a bit more information. Obviously you were able to log on to ask the question in the first place if not using someone elses connection. So add more info.

get a better modem US Robotics 5610b read the specs and you will agree, but dialup is the worst way to connect; DSL or cable is much better and if you have 2 phone lines, you can cancel one so it wont cost any more than dialup.

ps. switch to broadband, much more reliable and cheaper
