Geek Squad came in a while ago and set up our wi-fi. It has a password... we just bought a MacBook and it keeps asking for the password for geek_0331, our network. Geek Squad did not leave us the password and there's no way for us to access internet on our new computer.

So basically, I have 2 questions:
1. On Mac Setup, if I press 'I will not use internet', can I still set up a network afterwards?
2. Is there any way to find the password on our other connected computers?

I contacted Geek Squad via their live chat. After answering numerous questions, I got the WEP key. ^^

If you select "I will not use Internet" there shouldn't be any trouble setting it up in the future, so no worries there. Once again Geek Squad does NOT live up to their name, they set up your wireless network and protected it but did not give you your own password? Shame on them, they're probably waiting for you to break it, getting stuck like this, and have them back for another service call. Anyway, giving them the benefit of the doubt because they're usually quite good from what I hear, gather up all your paperwork/records and receipt, call them, and they can probably tell you what the password is. By the way, did you try making a few guesses, including "geek_0331"? If they have to return, I'd complain if they expect to charge you if they really left you hanging the first time.

If all else fails, it's easy to reload your router to factory defaults and set it back up from there, passwords and all. Just re-post another question here if it comes to that, let us know your make/model and we'll get you through the process to get it reconfigured with a new password, etc...

On your first question, you can always setup or change the settings later assuming you have the appropriate rights on the computer.

As for you second question, if they did set a password on your wireless you can reset the access point if you are familiar with doing it and set it up again. Or you can call Geek Squad and see if they can give it to you over the phone or come back out on a second call. What a way to insure job security.

Well you can always access your internet if you press 'I will not use internet'..
But there is no way you can find a password from your other computers.. If you know how to.. you could reset your wireless router and fixing up your network yourself
although I would recommend calling up those guys and asking them for the password.. Or ask them to come and setup your network again..

If you are referring to the router being passworded, unplug the router and at the same time hold down the reset button on the router for one minute. This will reset the router to the factory setting. In the original configuration your computer should have not problem connecting to the internet.
I know the default Linksys passwords are..
