you'll first need to get a wireless router. you can get one for around $50 from bestbuy. make sure it works with your modem.

I'm guessing you already have a wireless connector (either PCI or USB), but you'll need to connect that to your router.

or you could steal internet from one of your neighboor's wireless routers!

Does your DSL modem have a wireless feature? If it does then you should be able to find an SSID and connect to it. If it doesn't you will need a wireless AP or wireless router (depending on how you want to set it up) to get the wireless signal out in the air so your card can connect.

Check the DSL modem box to make sure it has wireless capabilities (sometimes some DSL companies offer a Westell branded wifi enabled dsl modem/router). If not, invest in an AP or router - then contact the DSL company on how to connect the 2. Sometimes you can bridge DSL router to a wireless router and use one as a router and one as a dsl modem, another option is to use the DSL router as a router/modem then use the wireless device just as an access point.

BTW- it's rude to 'steal' Internet from a neighbors wireless. It's also illegal. It's going on, no doubt, but if I ever caught someone on my wireless (which isn't going to happen I'm too smart) you'd start seeing some problems on your computer connected to my wireless.
