-- through the router?
this is what I have:
Mac OS X, system 10.4.7
HP Media Center, Windows Xp
HP photosmart 7350
Westell Versalink 327W router
Verizon DSL hooked up to the router

Right now I have the pc connected to the printer. I tried connecting both computers to the printer but that didn't work. I'd like to be able to print from either computer. The computers are next to each other so I'd like to do everything with wires. Right now I have both computers connected to the router, so I am getting internet on both, no problem.. just need to get from my mac to the printer. Is this possible? Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you!

If I have an access point which supports 108 Mbps connections, and a client which can handle it too, how will the speed be affected by lower speed standard clients?
Will the access point degrade to a slower speed if an 11g 54 Mbps client or a 11b client would connect, respectively?

I have a low-transaction system, and I wanted to put SQL Server 2000 personal edition on an XP Pro box as a stand alone system and have other systems on the network look to this box for its database. I've read a bunch of Microsoft articles, and it does not say that it restricts personal edition from remote connections, but I have not been able to see the database remotely. I'm using SQL Server authentication, so I shouldn't need to share any file directories, right? Any advice/ideas would be great.

I have a weird situation to where at a network, I can login into a computer that is not on the network (Internet doesn't work someone messed up the internet settings. Although at one time the computer did connect to the net this summer) Let's call it Computer 1. Though if I use another computer (Call it Computer 2) with the intenret running, I can't login into that computer using the same password. We have a T1 line connection. Yesterday, I unpluged the internet connection wire and was able to log into computer 2
with no problems. Now today it says the 'domain is not available"
So when I tried to use Computer 1 I was able to login.

So my question is this. What causes a computer to say the domain is not available?

Secondly, how do I take computer 2 offline from the network so I can login. Running XP pro, No I do not have the admin password. Thanks
