I used to do tech support for them.
They sell an all in one combo router and modem by WESTELL
The wireless portion acts just like a wireless router connecting your computer to that device, (assuming you have wireless built into your computer - or you will need a wireless card for your computer) but you still need to pay for the actual internet service to get to that modem. They don't care how many computers you have connected, and you're not paying a monthly fee for the wireless... just a fee for the internet

If you mean the little pcmcia slot modem with the name Verizon on it, the answer is yes. These modems are secret, propriatary modems which are hard coded for Verizon only. I know of no one in USA selling an open source modem of this type.

Do it all through Verizon. A traditional WI-FI card won't work on the Verizon network.

I think so because when I bought one I had to sign up for services that had that in my area. And luckily sprint offer that service

You will have to sign up for service. There are lots out there and you should check out their plans, prices, what packages they offer, and more reliable service.
