if your laptop has a wireless card integrated you just need a router (like Linksys WRT54G) and connect it to the broadband internet.
If your laptop don't have wifi integrated just buy a PCMCIA wifi card or a simple USB Wifi Dongle.

As long as your laptop is relatively modern, you should be able to buy a wireless receiver.
Go to Dixons or currys (maybe take your laptop with you and they can help you set it up).
The device will slot into something called a USB port. Once you get the device, you'll see where it fits.
After that; setting it all up is another issues however, in which case you'll need to either read the manual in detail or get a niece/nephew to come and sort it out.

You can purchase a wireless router to connect to your broadband modem. Then you will need a wireless card or usb adapter for your laptop. Check www.nextag.com for the best prices. Good luck :)

Go to this site. They list several wireless cards for a laptop. Normally, laptops use a card that is installed in your PCMC1A expansion slot. This should do the trick.

All I did was go to sprint(I have a sprint brand cell phone plan) and paid some money and got a wireless internet card, inserted the install disk into my laptop and followed the connection wizard, then put the internet card into my laptop and was online!!you need a cell phone and the internet card that is the same brand as the cell phone. That's all!!!You'll be hooked up!!You ned intell centrino mobil technology(this just means you can take your laptop with you and be able to use it) to use the card alone,I travel with mine and as long as I get phone service I have internet service!!This is way easier!!Most newer laptops have intel centrino.

Yes, to all your questions. :)
If your router supports wireless connections, you can buy a PCMCIA card or USB device to create wireless connections from your laptop.
But there might also be a network interface card in your laptop, then all you would need is a UTP cable to connect your laptop to the router (which would be cheaper).

Check your computers manual and find out what kind of mini pc card slot you have. Then go to your local computer store and purchase a wireless adapter to fit your computer. In addition you will need a wireless router (if you don't have one).
