Is it too distracting if I take notes on a laptop as someone is working through tasks during a web usability test vs. writing down notes?

I just want it to show the full menu when I click on something such as "File" or "Edit". I don't want to have to click that down arrow thing to expand the full menu.

I do a daily report that has changing data. I need to run a macro that will find the word "TOTALS" in the left column, count up 15 rows and insert a blank row for me to total the rows above in. I can't just use the last row in the column because sometimes the report has "trash info" below the "TOTALS" row.

addtional question :

I have a HP s3100n slimline desktop.

I was told it must be "low profile" PCI card to fit in that PCI slot, if i want add a Video card to PCI slot. Because regular PCI wont fit in that slot.

If adding a video card to PCI Express, it has still to be "LowProfile" PCI Express Video Card? There is no such thing as LOWPROFILE PCI EXPRESS CARD, right?

If using PCI express slot and the original power of my slim line PC is only 160V,it must be upgraded power from 160V to 350V, right?

the hole at the back of the PC, for the inside PCI express slot is only half wide.

what PCI express video card (halfwidth) can fit in?

what are good card for playing full HD mpeg4 video?

When i play them, these clips always lag on all my PCs.

I am a freelance writer...I know nothing about computers really...my editor is asking me to send images via email to accompany a profile I'm writing for his magazine...he tells me to ask the people I am profiling for images which are no less than 300dpi and also in jpeg format.
So far, none of the people I've asked have been able to come up with the right thing...I'm at the end of my tether...some people say "how many pixels do they have to be?" and then the editor tells me that pixels have nothing to do with it...aaagh! I can't understand photoshop and am on a tight deadline...what can I do?

oK, I ran SPYWARE DOCTOR and it found 9 threats and 273 infections....what do i do? OH MY GOD!! HELP!!

Of course, I want privacy, which is why I have an internet washer to begin with. (I use CCleaner, which now does a Guttman overwrite.) At the end of each cleaning, CCleaner lists all the files it just erased. I began to wonder whether this list itself is now part of my computer's hard drive, or whether it is erased as well? It certainly would defeat the purpose of a cleaner if someone could reconstruct my internet history from the addresses of the temp files erased.

Lets say i sort by Album Name. For most albums, the Albums get listed alphabetically, and the Track No. is also arranged by number. But when i scroll down to some other albums, The songs are listed together but they're not sorted by Track No.! How is this possible?

I have a blog on Blogger (the Google one) and I recently submitted my blog's feed to Yahoo Site Explorer. They asked for verification with the choice of meta tag or application. The thing is I tried to insert the meta tag and it goes like : . I put it where they asked it to be inserted but when I save it, it always says "Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The element type "META" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "". " And the other choice of application I really don't know how to do.
Can someone tell me what's wrong with that stupid meta tag and how to upload the file?

On my computer, everytime I go to log into something, when I start to type my user name, a list of all the usernames that have ever been entered on my computer pop up. How can I make it stop doing that? Is there a feature somewhere that I can disable? I would like to get rid of that list that always shows up. Thanks!
