Use several small disks 3-4GB additional to a big disk. Install Windows and certain software for special need at each disk, and plug them in when using.

Increase memory for imaging software and pdf

Run clean disk and defragment as often.

For internet disk and mainstream data with little big disk, do these:
*Create 2 drives C, D and save on D the image of identical software with Norton Ghost and D also contains data (documents, favorites…)
*Get external case for 2.5 HDD
*Run Windows with main hdd as external drive, then format C and copy D image to C as need.
*Get a fresh new windows operating system every few months to run faster. It takes about 20 minutes, and no worry about comands to repair.

defragment it. its a tool built into your computer that re-organizes data in the system, to make more room. imagine it as tetrus... there are empty spaces for the data, that is being blocked by other data, so u reorganize it to fit more into a smaller space, and also so your computer can access it better and FASTER. try and find it on the start menu

Format the drive, reinstall the operating system and all your applications. Don't forget to backup your personal data. I usually do this about every 6 months to keep everything running top notch.

Likely, you either need more RAM, or you need to reduce the number of active applications using the RAM you have.
