I've just started with VB programming as I'm an absolute beginner to programming but I got grade A in I.T. so that doesn't mean I'm dumb lol. Anyway, on to the question - I'm currently creating an application (Windows form) in VB 9/2008 Express and I've encountered a problem with this code:

Top = Int(Rnd() * Screen.Height)
Left = Int(Rnd() * Screen.Width)

I'm using that with a Timer and an interval of 100 - in the errors section it says the same for Width and Height:

"Height is not a member of System.Windows.Forms.Screen"
"Width is not a member of System.Windows.Forms.Screen".

I don't know if I've given enough information to resolve the issue as I'm only a beginner (everything has a beginning) at programming but I'm sure I'll add more info to the 'Additional Details'. So, that's my question :P.

I am looking to buy a new computer and they all come with Vista now. Do I need to go out and buy Microsoft Office again or will it be compatible? I really don't want to have to spend another $149 on top of the price of the computer! Thanks!

I would like to put the word "NETSHOP" on one key such as the "-" key on the numpad for example so that when I press it.. it types out "NETSHOP" instead of just "-" ..I was wondering if that was possible in Windows or by a separate program. Thanks for the answer in advance!

I have 4gb of RAM installed in my desktop and when I did an InSPECS scan it shows that I have 4gb of RAM however the computer itself only recognizes 3.2gb of the 4gb. Any reason as to why and how to fix it?

I just got final fantasy 11 online and cant play it with my video card i was lookin some up and this one cam up to look good 3D Fuzion GeForce FX 5500 PCI Graphics Card 256MB and one of the recommended requirments is geforce FX series so i just want some oppinions thanks.

Hi, I am currently using an HP 716n PC with Windows XP SP2 on it. I had a total amount of 512mb of ram installed. I purchased and added 1gb of memory (2x512mb sticks) to the 2x256mb and have a total of 1512mb installed.

It recognizes the added memory but doesn't really add much only 256 mb added (to the 512mb) for recommended use. I want to be able to maximize the settings where it won't hurt the pc and I won't have any slowdowns if using a lot of programs.

These are the current settings in system properties/memory/virtual memory:

Visual Effects - Let windows choose what's best for my computer.

Memory Usage - Programs (System Cache is also selectable)

Virtual Memory size: 756mb (I have 1512mb available)

If anyone can help recommend settings that would be for best performance utilizing the 1512mb that I have I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I'm using a new 4 gig flash drive to backup jpeg files between two computers. The amount of data I'm loading onto the drive is always about 250mb. When using my home comp it only takes 4-5 minutes to copy/paste the files onto the flash drive, but the much more powerful work comp takes at least 2 hours to do the same thing. Both are using usb. Any ideas why?

A friend has been running Win 98 for years, but his machine has died and he needs a new one. He's concerned about the learning curve for a new operating system. Would he be better off getting XP or making the leap to Vista? Will 98-to-XP be easier than 98-to-Vista, in the short run? In the long run? He uses his computer for word-processing, taxes, and Internet access, mostly. He's unlikely to do much gaming or multimedia work, if any.

This is the situation. I am doing a presentation on Power Point in version 2003 and I need to present it in version 2000 (or even 97)...
First...how do I go in order for my presentation so it keeps the animation? I tried saving it in older version and it still looses some animation features (changes the speed, fonts, etc). I have my Power Point in my flash drive.

Second...I have a video in my presentation and it plays okay in the original version (2003) but when I insert my flash drive into a PC with version 2000 it doesn't play....my video is in AVI format.
I would appreciate any help please, I tried several ways and I'm going crazy. Thank you

Alright i have a dell 4550 series comp. I have a 40gb and a 80 gb harddrive. i have 1 gb ddr sdram right now. I have a radeon 256 mb video card right now. I was running fable and warcraft 3 and counter strike. Now i have uninstalled them and installed world of warcraft. Now it like lags. My whole computer lags. Anything i am doing on my computer it lags. It is not a normal lag though it is kind of a skip on a cd. It will run fine and then it will stop and a few seconds later it will start going fine again. I have ran world of warcraft on my computer before with counterstrike and warcraft 3 and this problem did not occur. I do not konw what is wrong i do not want to go out and spend 100 dollars if i do not have too. COuld this be the harddrive?? I have used disk cleanup on a daily basis. I defragment at least 3 times a month. I use spysweeper. And i cant find anything else wrong. i have great connection to internet. Im not sure but i think ram is the problem. How do i cool the computer?

I have W/XP - the other day my computer started to run slowly, and get pop-up webpages even when I had no browsers open (sometimes 10 at a time). I ran Mcaffe and Avast - they came up with some trojans and other malicious stuff. It is a little better, but now when I open a site or click on something, a page will pop up (random ones, from search sites to porn). I have pop-up blocker on too. Anyone know what other steps I can take to remedy? I suspect it all came from going on MySpace...because I don't search porn or anything like that. Any advise would be appreciated! Thanks!

I've downloaded quite a few free photoediting programs... but nothing that helps me edit the background properly. Or maybe I am just too impatient? I need to change the background of ONE photo so I don't really want to pay for it! If anyone can recommend a good editing program that they KNOW will help me in editing my background, it would be GREATLY appreciated!
