For a big business? Go for Redhat, you get good support for what you pay. Not heard anything about Ubuntu's enterprise support.
If small business or personal use, you won't be able to afford RH support. Ubuntu will be good.

Ubuntu is better for a lot of beginners. The interface is very close to Window$. There is still a learning curve, but it is not as great as with other distros.

Hi, Ubuntu Linux is easier and popular, but the world leader in Linux systems is Redhat followed by Novell. Redhat Linux is very powerful compared to Ubuntu. I hope I helped.
Good Luck!

I agree with Linux Geek
Redhat sucks.
Red hat's for n00bs
Red Hat is so bad, I've never even used it. It's the Vista of Linux
Seriously though, what's going on here?
All the people who said Redhat have gotten at least 5 thumbs down and everyone who said ubuntu has multiple thumbs down. Was there a 3rd choice?

Oh it has to be Ubuntu 7.10 'Gutsy Gibbon' for me, you cant really draw a comparison as Ubuntu is an operating system, where as Red Hat is a Server.
EDIT :
Where the hell are we going with the multiple thumbs down for everyone. Is this some kind of windup ?
Afterall the question wasnt very well put anyway.
People who supposedley know so much about about Linux, should attempt to answer the question themselves instead of the cheap way out by giving out the thumbs down.
Perhaps the question should be more precise next time as to what elements differ between the two. Then the ill informed thumbs down brigade will be made silent.
As it stands its just a wind up.

It depends on what you want out of it. If you're looking for something for everyday usage with hassle-free operation, then I recommend Ubuntu. And also Redhat is not free, unless you're talking about Fedora. Ubuntu is free.
