I have a Compaq computer. I found out that the hard drive is full. I dont want to delete any files. Can I add another hard drive and will it configure it without going through a lot of work and changes to my computer?

Click on start, accessories, then system tools and select disk cleanup. This will delete only unnecessary files. If you do get an external hard drive start by moving you music and videos to it, they take up the most space.

One solution you may want to consider because it's about the cheapest and can be done with what you probably have on-hand already.

Off-load your music, pics, and vids to dvd or cd. By freeing up that space, you'll prolong your hard drive's life until you need a new computer.

yep just get either an internal or external hard drive if you know how to install an internal then get that if you don't feel comfortable with that then just get an external it's as easy as putting in the start up disk and plugging the drive into a USB port.

also, to help you clean up your computer - use Ccleaner. Make sure you read the manual and help topics before you delete something though. This took will help you a lot though.
