Hi, I am having a problem with my keyboard, (well I think it is the keyboard), when use the standard keyboard symbols, some of them are mixed up and showing incorrectly. eg. this symbol is in the wrong place@ it is by this " symbol. also my back slash is not even showing up on any of the symbols i typed to find it, it is not in its usaual place next to the backspace symbol. I tried putting in 2 other keyboards and they also are doing exactly the same thing........what is wrong, i have also tried to restore to another date, where I can remember it was working and this has not helped me either, I have also checked the Language settings and they are the same, I would appreciate it if someone could help me please, as i work in MSDOS, with one of my programs and I need to use the back slash.

I fully charge my laptop every night and I don't usually use it during the day. But when I use it again at night time the battery says there's only 10% of power left.

And what's the best way to maintain the battery?

For about the past month, a website called "whataboutadog" has been showing up in my history. Just recently, another one called "adoginhispen" has also been showing up as well. I know they are viruses, but I didn't do anything because I didn't notice any change in my computer. But now it goes incredibly slow, and sometimes our programs (AIM, Internet Explorer) will randomly shut down, and our computer has even shut itself down a few times. I clicked on one of them about a month ago and all that showed up was HTML and a bunch of numbers. What is this virus, what can it do to my computer, and how do I get rid of it?!

I have saved files of 560mb on my PC desktop (of work) and it's now giving me a message that i have saved more than i should on my pc and that i should remove but when looking at my desktop i do not see it except for the icons.

Please help me find them as the message keeps poping up.

Hi, I want to build a PC that runs linux with more than 4GB memory on it. Say 16GB or 32GB available. Is there a way to do that?

i don't know about computers that much... and i want know about video cards, i know there are video cards with 512,256etc... but what is a 512 ram 128bit? i know there are v.cards like this but what does the bit specifically do? and i know better v.cards need more power.... so how can i know my power supply's watts? (im really stupid about computers)

Intel Pentium D Dual Core (2x3.0ghz) or E6750 Core 2 Duo Processor (2.66GHz). I am planning to do video rendering and multitrack audio editing at home. Not gaming. I know not all processors are created equal - so is the 2x3.0 neccessarily faster/better than the E6750?. I am looking at 2 systems. Each has similar specs on graphics cards/RAM but different processors.

My mate has created a forum and we are me him and another guy are running it. Unfortunatley we only have roughly 18 members and maybe 8 active ones. I was wondering how we can get more activity happening? Any idea's i've added the site to like a thousand search engines but they take ages to store in database so are there any other methods?

I am thinking of buying a refurbed Dell Vostro 400. Looks a pretty nifty machine. People are warning me that Dell PCs are notoriously hard to upgrade at a later date because of their build, and that I'd have to send the pc back to change components at a later date. Is this true? I have put a picture of my children on my desktop (by clicking on properties etc), yet when I log off then log on later again this picture disappears and all I get is a blank screen. How do I make the picture stay permanently? Also clicking on the tab 'desktop' brings up all my pictures which should be in my photo impact file. I can't remember copying them over, how do I delete them as the normal method of deleting doesn't work?

Anytime I paste an image onto a word document the image just disappears! It's there, I can see the edge lines, but it just doesn't show, even in preview print mode. It's just blank, white, nothing is there. How can I fix this?
