For a true resolution 720.

The monitor may support downscaling of a signal, in which case you can display 1080. But since 1080 is a 1920 by 1080 resolution you will lose information from the image.

The best option is to use the DVI port. This will give a digital link . However, if your monitor does not support HDCP you are going to have problems displaying Hi-Def movies. Also I do not believe that the XBox comes with a digital output. The PS3 has HDMI which is compatible with DVI.

The VGA port would be my second option, followed by Component video and SCART would probably be my last option.

try all the resolution, then see which one view the best, also try to change the monitor screen rates, usually it run's as 70 hertz
