How do i get a movie from window's media player into deepburner so i can burn it? With details please

is there any way of us allocating memory to a video card? i have a gma 950 card with a max of 32 mb for video memory and 192 as shared memory(total approx memory of 224 mb). i want to add another 32 to the video memory. i have already treid BIOS but there is no option of changing the video memory. can we do it thru OS(i have a windows vista home premium) and my laptop make is toshibha satellite series.

So am i wrong, or is it possible to write files (Pictures / Music etc) to a DVD. Because a dvd can store 4.7gb of info', i thought it would be better than using 700mb cd's.

I cannot convince the people at my mom's office to turn off the computers at night (were trying to conserve energy). Is there anyway to make Windows Xp Pro. shut down automatically, I tried going to scheduled tasks and figuring out a way to turn off at a certain time but I cant get it to work. Also my mom does not want them to turn off after a certain amount of time (i.e. after 30 mins of non-use it turns off), she just wants them to completely shut down at a certain time like 11pm.

The fastest transfer rate I got for a USB 2.0 hard drive (WD, Phantom, and many others I've tried) connected directly to my computer is ~12000 kB/s with an average of about 7000 kB/s. All these hard drives are usually advertised as having up to 50 or even 100 MB/s (not kB/s).

Over a home network with a winXP server I have average transfer rates of 1200 kB/s.

Is this normal? What transfer rates should I be having for direct USB and server data tranfers? I have brand new supped up computer with dual core processors and 4GB ram.

Ok. I have a computer running Windows XP MCE. I've had it for a year now and I'm thinking about reloading Windows and putting my old files back on it. The only thing is when I put windows back on it'll be a year behind on updates. Could I download an updated version that 'would be considered an illegal copy of windows' except I'm going to use my own OEM code. Would this be illegal? I have the right to reload Windows as long as I use the code only on a single computer.

Im trying to write a macro in order to move information from column a to b in excel. I have last names of people followed by first names in column a and am wondering if i can move the first name to column b. i then need it to delete the comma that separated the first and last names?

Hi, I use Folder Lock 5.7, for those of you who don't know what it is, it is a program that is used to lock and hide files. I recently uninstalled it due to a problem. Now that I want it back, when I want to install it, it says 'please uninstall the older version of Folder Lock before you can install this one' (or something like that).
My problem now: I have FolderLock completly uninstalled from my computer. No traces left. So what can I do to install it?

my flash drive was in my computer and was working and then all of sudden it disapeared from the screen. the computer said it had to be reformatted but doing so would delete all of the info. i've tried it in three different computers and they all say the same thing. i have like 200 hours of labor in that flash drive. is there any way i can retrieve the info? please help me, even if it's bad news.

Months ago I've cancelled my AOL account, and they're still sending the bill for it. I called customer service again, hoping to make it clear that I don't want their service, but all they kept doing was offering me more of their software. I got so upset, I just hung up. I'm 75% sure that there is some sort of virus that is causing my computer to not respond correctly. Now when I hit certain buttons they do strange things. It used to be bad but now its even worse. At first it just double typed letters (a goes to aa, b goes to bb) Now letters are becoming random and I can't even enter in my password to log on to my computer. It's now doing stuff like a going to aa and b going to bbbb. Also its changing a bunch of my keys. The enter button now controls the numlock button and the left arrow button shuts down my computer.

I am sure the problem is not the keyboard because I'm using the exact same keyboard that I have been using.

Is there any way to get on to my computer without the password and run some anti virus software?
