anytime i try and load new pc games and they have two cd's, the first one will always load great, but then the second one freezes up my computer and will never complete the game load. any suggestions? it does this on my laptop and my desktop. is there something i have set wrong on both computers. i've tried several games, so it's not the game.

i bought 1 sata HDD and 1 hdd casing. i assembled it so i can use it as and external HDD. i insert the USB cable in the USB port in my Notebook PC and my PC installed the driver for the USB device. but the problem is the hardisk is not shown in windows explorer but it is detected in Device Manager. do i need to format the HDD first before i can use it as an external HDD? how can i format it? thanks!

I want to have EACH name, address and phone number currently in a group within a single column (All "A") each transposed AUTOMATICALLY into its own column (A, B, C, etc.) side by side and done just as quickly as a "paste special" converts from "copy" using the "transpose" method. Thanks. Geoff

3 years ago, one of my colleagues at Uni back then used a laptop in class to take lecture notes, she uses a document that is ruled on the screen like a notebook and it looked very nice to type on during lectures, unlike MS Word, Notepad or Wordpad which are just plain sheets. Has anyone come across this computer programme and could anyone please tell me how I could download it on my laptop.

#1 (Which one of these (memories) is the better one)

3GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz - 4 DIMMs

OR

4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz - 4 DIMMs


Please note that one is 4GB and the other is 3GB, BUT the "MHz" is different... so which one is better? I need to know so I can get the better one of the two. Thanks.......

I have an HP computer that came with 512MB ram preinstalled. I installed and additional 512MB made by crucial. If I replace the 512MB crucial with HP 512MB would the HP work better than the crucial?

I've just upgraded system from 2 x 512Mb + 1 x 1G memory cards to 3 x 1G memory cards. on reboot my system audit shows 1.5G memory, DIMM 1 - 512MB and DIMM 3 1024MB. My system should support 3G of memory.
What's happened and what do I need to do to rectify?

Why can't we humans talk to computers in the natural language like English? Why do we have to use an artificial language like Cobol, Fortran, C, C++ or Java ? Why can't we give instructions in the English language we speak everyday ?

If we already have a language like English, why did Dennis Ritchie do the painstaking work of developing a new language called C, building a translator (compiler) for C, and also make all of us learn these new languages ? What is the specific reason? All you programmers and computer scientists, put on your thinking caps and start thinking!
