You can't. A different company claimed ownership of the trademark "Gmail" in the UK, and they don't let Google use it.

However the accounts are exactly the same, it's just the name that has changed. And in fact you can use the "gmail.com" address to send to even if your account is officially googlemail.

You can only get a Gmail account from Google and no matter which regional Google you use, like .co.uk, .fr, .de etc your email will always be .com. Sorry if that bothers you but I see that as a positive as it is easier for your foreign friends to remember your email.

Looks like you can't. I signed up from google.com.au, and it always goes to google.com
