I want to build a computer for family use

Can anyone recommend the best value parts to use? & what I should install - for starters I was thinking of the items listed below but would welcome suggestions. The computer will need to last 3-4 years.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 CPU
Motherboard with Intel G965 Chipset
2GB RAM
Graphics card so that the kids can play games
250GB hard drive
DVD burner
20 inch screen
flywire
keyboard & mouse
5 USB points
Modem

Hello, I accidently deleted the Local User registery files for this software and now I cannot run it, it tells me that I need to reinstall the software. Well, if I do that, it would recopy every single file from the installation source which will take like a long time to do. Is there a way of bypassing the file copying process and just make the installation update the system and the registery files?

Im tryin to install zwinky but my spy-ware protection blocks it!
Dammit stupid security thingy!
i had zwinky in my other computer but i got a new one
windows Vista, so yeah I cant
get zwinky!
Is there something i can do so it can let it install properly?
Or can i turn off the windows defender or is there something that i can trun off?
I have Trend Micro PC-cillin interner security

i never got round to burning the recovery discs(stupid i know)

if i did it now would that just put everything back on that i wanted to delete or would it just give me "factory setting"

We just switched our internet connection on CenturyTel, and now the router won't work with the router we have. It's a Linksys wireless router, and the modem is a Westell. What do I need to do to make it work?

or an MP4 FILE TO PUT THE MOVIE ONTO MY PSP?

I'm looking for a chat/instant-messaging application that has some kind of decent "drawing board," something where two (or more) people can interactively send pics to each other. Freeware, preferably, of course. The drawing board can be the whole thing, too, if that's possible. Anyone know of something like that?

I have, for the first time , built my own pc.
everything running ok..
But Vista ultimate 64, for a start, says that my HDD's are not compatable with it. so i am unable to load Vista.
My HDD's are Western Digital WD5000AKS.
MoBo...GiGabyte X38-DQ6
Graghics Card....GeForce 8800GTS 320MB GDDR3.
Intel Core2Quad Processor. and 2GB of Corsair Dominator DDR2.
Has anyone any idea how I can get this baby to work.?
Any help and ideas appreciated.

Basically, I want all of the links in my menu to have a different highlight color on mouseover/hover, so that as you go down the links it looks like a rainbow. Ex: link1 is red on mouseover, link2 is orange, link3 is yellow, etc.

Can someone give me the code please???
(My layout is edited with html,CSS, and divs, if that helps.)

Need to move a file bigger than a floppy can handle from an old Windows 98 PC. No CD burner, no ethernet port. Not connected to internet.

This is just a dumb machine we keep the companuy books on, and did not want that machine hooked to the internet where it could be hacked.

Tried a USB Thumb drive, but it did not work. The OS was too old.

Looking to do this for zero cost. Any ideas?
