Reinstall Software without copying files.?

Question

Hello, I accidently deleted the Local User registery files for this software and now I cannot run it, it tells me that I need to reinstall the software. Well, if I do that, it would recopy every single file from the installation source which will take like a long time to do. Is there a way of bypassing the file copying process and just make the installation update the system and the registery files?

I never copy my files or other data.I just put in my installation cd or what ever it may be and go from there.Havent ever had a problem.
