You have several options.
iWork 08 features Pages, which now features a specific Word Processing feature. iWork is fairly cheap, and comes with a spreadsheet application and a presentation program that blows powerpoint out of the water.
Neo-Office, which is based on OpenOffice, is a free choice that has a suite of programs that mimics Microsoft Office. And its pretty good because it is free.
And of course, you can open most .doc files in TextEdit.

Hi,
If you were wondering if Microsoft Word exists for the Mac then wonder no more. It does.
Microsoft Word is a Macintosh application that was ported to Windows, so of course it runs on a Mac. The question to ask is why would you run a Mac application like Word on a Windows computer?
On the other hand, if you are searching for alternative products to Microsoft Word, consider Apple's Pages, Millel, Sun Microsystem's OpenOffice, and Apple's TextEdit. None of them support popular VBA add-ins, however.
