I've just upgraded system from 2 x 512Mb + 1 x 1G memory cards to 3 x 1G memory cards. on reboot my system audit shows 1.5G memory, DIMM 1 - 512MB and DIMM 3 1024MB. My system should support 3G of memory.
What's happened and what do I need to do to rectify?

Your specs for that board: 3 x 184-pin DIMM Sockets support max. 3GB non-ECC DDR SDRAM memory
(PC2100/PC1600 up to 3 DIMMs; PC3200/PC2700 up to 2 DIMMs; 1GB PC3200/2700 with 32 DDR chips up to 1 DIMM only) You must be using 2700/3200?

Three IDENTICAL RAM modules by Manufacturer and part number? If so:

Install each RAM module, one at a time and reboot. Each should be recognized correctly. Then, add a second module and you should see 2GB RAM. Then, switch out the second and replace with the third and FINALLY, install all three.

If anything fails, one or more of the modules is defective OR, you may need to updated your BIOS.
